this is me and ryan. a couple weeks ago, his neighbor introduced me to some people as "this is phoebe. she's not dating my neighbor." seems that everyone around us is pretty interested in our relationship. here's what i have to say about that:
"ok, yes. i DO realize that what we are doing essentially fits the whole textbook definition of 'dating'. yes, i know we do a lot of things that are essentially 'couple' activities. yes, i am aware that we are pretty much 'in a relationship' with each other. but screw you. that doesn't mean i have to actually ADMIT it. if i admit it, then it's for real, and if it's for real then i'm gonna get nervous. because i really am pretty crazy about him. and i don't wanna be nervous. so shut up and stop asking me these questions."

tonight i drove down to columbus with ryan to see Elephant Bones play. it was their second show,and maybe i'm biased, but i thought it was great. but then, i'm completely crazy about their songs. not to mention their drummer. wah wah.
it was really fun, though. and i'm trying to pretend i'm not completely terrified by how much i like him.

i got nothin. i kept thinking of taking pictures at doug's show, but i kept forgetting.

i got like three hours of sleep last night. i'm beat.

after work today, i went straight to ryan's house to hang out. the elephant bones boys were there, and they were mastering the new version of "fuzz" (also known as the song that's ALREADY been stuck in my head for weeks). once they split, it was time for cookout of the week number two. ryan, again, made us some AMAZING burgers on the grill. i'm not sure what all he puts in them, but god damn! best burgers ever! he had to go fix doug's car, and before he split we decided to meet up again later. we also got into a fake arguement about how ryan's drawing, pictured here, "ballorse on cans" is a fine fine piece of artwork, and that i could never draw anything that could compare. so, on that note (was that a challenge, mr. foltz?), i went straight home and started working on my OWN 'balloon/emaciated horse (CLEARLY in motion)/sneaker/beer can/christmas tree/calculater/blue backgroud/most-ridiculous-inside-joke-ever' drawing. one that'd kick ryan's drawing's ass. and OBVIOUSLY - it does, though once i went back over there a few hours later to hang out again, he insisted that his was still better than mine. that boy is crazy. and i absolutely adore him.

another beautiful day. and the day of the late night cookout. and the night that i, as ryan put it, drank 6 beers in 10 minutes. oops!

today was fucking awesome. woke up snuggled up to ryan. drank coffee. went to breakfast. and te weather was so nice - it was really the first really nice day we have had this year. and how did i spend it? helping ryan dismantle his parts dart out behind his garage. i was dirty and grimey and i had the best fucking time! i am forever amazed at his knowledge of car stuff. but today i was even more amazed at my ability to just jump in and help him out. perfect day. completey perfect.

i took no photos, though, but here's one i took recently of one of his toolboxes - seemed appropriate.

i have no idea why i look so sinister here. i am updating a week late, and i have no idea or recollection as to what i was up to this night. i fell asleep when i got home from work and slept until the next morning, so who knows what that grin is about.

when i get my hands on a copy of the cd tray art for the elephant bones cd, that will be this day's pic of the day. because that's how i spent my night - over at ryan's, helping him lay out a collage of images for the tray art for their cd.

this is the most boring of all the pictures i took tonight - the best ones being the 100+ promo pictures i took of the elephant bones guys over at ryan's tonight. flippin' awesome. and too funny. i had such a good time.

i didn't take a picture of me today - i didn't have my camera on me. but this is the dress i bought today to wear to cindy's wedding next month. i'm going to look like a cupcake.
